"This season, we are inspired by the flowing and printed fabrics, and the Cuban atmosphere. The hair look is a low texturized ponytail, which emulates summertime but with sensuality. With strands falling gently into the face, the hair creates a mysterious and flirtatious confidence, with a touch of sophistication.

"A hat is also added on occasion, which brings some masculinity to the look."

Choosing Your Wedding Hairstyle - What You Should Remember

As a bride you definitely want to look your best and all eyes will be on you all through the day. To look gorgeous from head to toe is a must and your hair is one of those things you should take seriously besides choosing a great looking gown. There are long lists of best bridal hairstyles and remembering a few things can help you make the right decision with your wedding hairstyles.

Match the hair with the gown

This is one of the most important things if you do not want to end up looking as though your hair is competing with the gown. Striking a match between the two is what you should focus on. If you have a modern chi dress, select a sleek blow out or hold your hair back. For a gown that has a country look or peasant dresses and high waist frocks choose curls for your hair and you can add tiny flowers to complete the curly look. Dramatic up dos on the other hand can turn out great for big ball gown type of dresses. Whatever you choose should match with the type of dress you have selected. The tip here is to choose your dress first before then finding the perfect hairstyle.

The length of your hair matters

This is something most brides forget even though it is very important. Some styles are best for long hair while others are more suitable for short hair. Wedding hairstyles for short hair are more popular, but you can also rock your wedding with amazing wedding hairstyles for long hair. For short locks, a mini barrette and a pixie make very good chic and simple wedding looks but the choices are numerous. For longer locks, buns, barrettes and petals are some amazing ideas. Your hairdresser can come in handy in giving you choices depending on the length of your hair. Fashion magazines can also be helpful sources for any length of hair.

Remember the veil

Apart from making sure that your wedding hairstyle matches with the dress, also remember the veil and how suitable the hairstyle is going to be for your veil. If you have chosen a style whose charm is lost under the veil, you can consider wearing fascinators which are back and trending. There are also fancy short bridal hats that can be worn but make sure that you choose the veil before you go for the hairstyle to keep limits at bay.

Understand your hair type

This is very important because even the simplest hairstyles look great on particular hair types. Very short hair or hair that is very fine can be tricky to work with but there are styles that best suit this kind of hair. Same goes for curly hair, which can be tricky to straighten and make skinny. Know which hairstyles your hair will hold without problems. You should actually consider booking a trial with your hairdresser to help make a great choice beforehand.

There are lots of easy wedding hairstyles and a good hairdresser should be able to help you make a good decision. Not all wedding hairstyles will look great on you so try several before settling for the best.

Hair Color Correction

Getting your hair colored is one of the most sought after things these days, primarily because of the shine and shimmer it adds to dull, lackluster locks. It is in fact, the easiest way to cover gray and change the way you look. However, the experience can be disastrous as well, if not done under the guidance of hair experts. Several beauty salons are frequented by people who have had unpleasant experience with hair colorations and want color corrections.

Color correction, as the name suggests, corrects the hair color and gives you that stunning look which you always have desired. Most hair experts are of the view that color correction can best be done within three days of hair damage. However, you always have the option of visiting the beauty salon nearest to you to get the color correction done. Bare in mind, you may be required to visit the hair salon several times, if the hair has been greatly damaged.

If you have recently had your hair colored and it is just not suiting your style, you can go for hair color remover, but make sure that you do this in a hair salon only or else you might end up having brassy and even more damaged hair. Only a professional at a beauty salon can help you have the hair color you desire.

If you just have had highlights done, and they are lighter than what you expected, you may ask your hair salon expert to use a hair toner. On the other hand, if the highlights are darker than what you had envisioned, you would have to re-color your hair. One thing you should bear in mind while getting your hair colored again is that use of a good, color enhancing conditioner can prevent further hair damage.

The perplexities associated with experimenting with hair at home result in hair disasters which apparently have no solution but to seek advice from your beauty salon expert.

Tips for Choosing a New Hair Stylist

These days, it's harder to find the perfect hair stylist than it is to find the perfect partner. Placing the future of your hair into a stranger's hands is a hard thing to do but it almost seems like every time I find the right stylist, the one who knows exactly what I want, either retire or relocate. I know I can't be the only one who has this ongoing problem so here are a few tips on how to choose a new hair stylist.

Word of Mouth

The best way to find a new hair stylist, in my opinion, is by word of mouth. If you have a friend whose haircut or style you admire, ask them where they got it done. Ask your family members or the people you work with who they like to visit for their hair, and why. The next time you're waiting for a bus and you see someone with a great cut, ask them for pointers. These days everyone carries business cards and I'm sure you'll come across many. If someone is excited about something as fantastic as their appearance they will want to share it with you, even if you're a total stranger.

Social Media

Two words: Google it! If you've heard about a salon or think you might be interested in seeing your neighbor's stylist, look it up on the Internet. That's what it's there for, after all. Read reviews of their site and services on sites like Yelp. See what your friends have to say about any particular hair stylist on Twitter or Facebook. The Internet is a world of knowledge just waiting to be tapped into and serves to help people like us make the best decision based on other people's good and bad experiences.

Visit the Salon

Finally, if you're uncomfortable taking other people's word for it, check the salon out yourself. Schedule a consultation with the stylist you're thinking about trusting with the future of your hair and sit down with them for a minute to discuss what you want and what they think will suit you best. Bring in pictures of models or celebrities whose style you admire so you can show a visual of how you imagine yourself looking once the makeover is complete. If the stylist doesn't have the time to meet with you and take to slow, don't use their services. We can get very attached to our hair and if that person doesn't understand you then they're not worth your time.

Finding a new hair stylist takes time and preparation if you're going to do it right. You can't trust just anyone with knowing exactly what you want as a hair style but through word of mouth, social media, and in-person visits you are sure to find the right hair stylist for you. And with a little bit of luck, maybe you'll be able to convince them to stick around so you won't have to go through all the work of find that perfect stylist all over again!

5 Tips to Prolong the Life of Your Hair Extensions

You Get What You Pay For

Honestly, we've all heard the phrase before: "You get what you pay for." Well, hair extensions are no exception. The higher quality the hair, the longer your hair will look luscious, beautiful, and full. Choosing the right stylist is also very important. Many hair stylists know different techniques and have different strengths when it comes to installing the hair. Make sure the one you choose knows how to work with your hair texture, the hair extensions, and the method you want to install them with. If you decide to color your hair, make sure to work with the same stylist who will ensure that your hair matches the hair extensions.

Avoid Products With Alcohol

Alcohol dries out your hair! Many of the drug store and beauty supply store brand shampoos, conditioners, and styling aids come with alcohol on the label. Be very wary of any product labels mentioning ethanol alcohols. There are a few alcohols that will actually condition your hair instead of drying it out, such as cetyl alcohol or benenyl alcohol. Usually derived from a coconut or a palm tree, these types of alcohols are usually in a sold, thicker form. All in all, be very careful of what products you're putting into your hair extensions.

Treat Your New Hair Like It's Your Own

Don't be afraid to give your hair a conditioning treatment or style the hair extensions with the same care you'd use on your own hair. Air-dry as often as possible and use low heat when styling to avoid heat damage. Brush your locks at night before bed and in the morning before and after showering.

Satin Is Your Friend

Whether it's a satin pillow or a satin cap, you need one for sleeping in a night. During the night, our sleep movements against other materials like cotton cause friction that damages the hair creating tangles. Avoid this by wrapping your hair up in a satin cap or choosing to use a satin pillow case. If you're want to be extra cautious, use both! The plus side is you'll feel like royalty as you sleep on satin.

Professional Maintenance & Upkeep

Seek a professional hair stylist who will not only install the hair extensions for you but also maintain them during the life of your new hair. The kind of hair extensions you choose will depend on what kind of maintenance you need but overall, you should seek professional help in order to get the maximum life out of your hair extensions.

So those are our ways of keeping your the modern marvel of your hair extensions in it's ultra fabulous condition. Have any more friendly tips? Leave a comment below and share your knowledge!
